Project Global Hope is the result of a dream. It is the desire formed by many people together wanting to see lives changed, children transformed, and families succeed.
We hope:
We believe:
We strive for:
"Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."
We desire:
Hope and a future for people who may not otherwise have the opportunity. We know we can't change the world, but we are definitely going to try.
...one family, one child at a time.
Our mission is to advocate for the global community through Christian values; helping orphans, missionaries, and those who are committed to the improvement of their communities to support transformations that promote humanity, justice and self-sustenance.
Our vision is to promote a Global Community that improves lives while increasing opportunities for self-sustaining growth within each system through individuals, families, education/careers and communities.
Orphanage Support
Project Global Hope (PGH) is now providing assistance to several orphanages and foster homes in Ghana. Please see the Orphanage Support page to learn about the homes in need and how you can help.
Educational Sponsorships
PGH is administering all education sponsorships for children at Great Mission International (GMI, formerly known as CKO) in Ghana. We have recently expanded the program to reach a greater number of children in need of sponsors. This includes children at the Assurance of Hope orphanage and children from Chorkor. We are now looking for new sponsors for over 25 children. Please see the Educational Sponsorship page for children in current need of sponsorship.
PGH is also partnering with Feeding the Orphans to assist in providing food sponsorships for the orphans attending school.
Pregnancy Resource Center
The Fern House has implemented a model for counseling women in crisis pregnancy based on the methods used by the Matrix Pregnancy Resource Center in Lafayette, Indiana. The Fern House would like to thank Matrix and Covenant Church in West Lafayette, Indiana for helping establish our ministry and encouraging our efforts to positively impact families in Ghana.
Please see the Pregnancy Resource Center page for more information about the Fern House and learn about ways that you can help.
Community Outreach
Visit the Community Outreach page to learn more about our current work. A team from Project Global Hope went to Ghana in March, 2011. This team used part of their time to finalize a phased plan to help a community school. They also carried out the goals for a fund-raiser called "Food for Thought". Read a story about a boy named Cade who helped raise money for the Food for Thought project here .
Project Global Hope has established an educational sponsorship program in Ghana for underprivileged children. Sponsorships provide funds for tuition, fees, books, and uniforms for children that could otherwise not afford to attend school. PGH is currently partnering with the GMI (formerly CKO) children's home in Ghana, and hopes to expand the program to reach other children in need of support. Sponsors have the opportunity to make a significant difference in a child's life. PGH provides each sponsor with regular reports, photos, and letters from their sponsored child.

The Fern House is a Pregnancy Resource Center and Maternity Home in the Greater Accra Region. The Fern House serves the community by educating women and men about pregnancy. The services provided help families make informed decisions about parenting options, sexual integrity and health. We provide the resources necessary for successful parenting: counsel on parenting options, prenatal care, nutritional counsel, and family management skills. The Fern House has space to house up to five women in crisis and their babies, for up to six months. The ministry attends to the women’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs during what can be one of the most challenging times in a woman’s life. The participants receive initial life skills training and assistance in pursuing long-term educational and career goals.

Project Global Hope has developed relationships with several orphanages in Ghana. At this time we are working with GMI (formerly CKO) and Assurance of Hope to provide educational sponsorships. Our goal is to ensure the children have access to education. By supporting the orphanages with their general needs, electricity, water, housing, as well as many other basic needs, the result is an enviroment where the children can get the most from their education. We currently partner with Feeding the Orphans on these orphanages to provide food for these homes.

Project Global Hope has volunteers who visit Ghana regularly. We believe Community Outreach is very important. This gives us an opportunity to learn more about the cultures in Ghana and discover innovative ways to work in the communities in a way that fits with the culture.

Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like Slavery and Apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom."
